Help the Homeless Program and Walkathon
|
The Fannie Mae Foundation Help the Homeless Program raises awareness of and funds for Washington metropolitan area organizations that are working to prevent and end homelessness, with an emphasis on programs that help homeless people return to independent living. The Help the Homeless Program also fosters volunteerism in service to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.

Item of the Month
|
For our project "Item of the Month", we collect items for shelters in our area, The Family Crisis Center and Shepherd's Cove which are our 'adopted' organizations. At the beginning of every month an item is designated and Kiwanis members are encourage to bring their items to a club meeting. During the last week of the month, Roy Wynn and Linda Howard will deliver them to the Center or Shelter.
